Return, Refund & Exchange Policy
At Quality Gems, we want you to purchase your gemstone with complete confidence. We therefore offer a simple 14-day return and exchange facility, subject to the return conditions below.
You may request a return within 14 days from the date of delivery of your order.
Once the returned gemstone/product is received and successfully inspected, you may choose between the following:
- Refund: 70% of the original product value will be refunded to the original payment method.
- Exchange: 80% of the original product value will be provided as exchange credit towards another eligible gemstone or product purchased from Quality Gems. If the replacement product is of higher value, the difference will be payable by the customer.
Return Conditions
For a return, refund or exchange to be eligible, the gemstone/product must be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered.
A gemstone that has been broken, chipped, cracked, scratched, altered, recut, repolished, drilled, treated or otherwise physically damaged after delivery will not qualify for the above return, refund or exchange facility.
This condition is essential because any physical alteration or damage can affect the gemstone's identity, appearance, weight and market value.
Inspection of Returned Products
Every returned gemstone is carefully inspected before a refund or exchange is approved. We may verify its:
- Identity and characteristics
- Weight and measurements
- Physical condition
- Certificate, where applicable
- Signs of alteration, treatment or damage
If the returned product does not meet the above conditions, Quality Gems reserves the right to decline the return, subject to applicable law.
Certification
Where a laboratory certificate is provided, it relates to the specific gemstone examined by the issuing laboratory.
The certificate is intended to establish the gemstone's reported characteristics and should not be considered a guarantee of future resale value, investment return or any particular astrological or personal outcome.
Natural gemstones may naturally vary in colour, inclusions, transparency, texture and appearance. Such natural characteristics do not constitute defects when consistent with the gemstone supplied.
Shipping & Delivery
We carefully inspect and securely pack every order before dispatch.
Orders are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days, subject to availability and order confirmation. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination and courier service.
For return shipments, customers should use secure packaging and a trackable courier service. Return shipping costs are ordinarily borne by the customer.
Order Cancellation
Cancellation requests should be made as soon as possible after placing an order.
Orders may generally be cancelled before dispatch, subject to their processing status.
Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible and the applicable return procedure may be followed after delivery.
Customised, specially sourced, specially cut, mounted or made-to-order products may not be eligible for cancellation once processing has commenced.
A Note on Your Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any mandatory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable Indian law.
Quality Gems reserves the right to verify and assess every return to ensure that the product being returned is the same product supplied and has not been altered or damaged after delivery.
